We’re hiring a Business Sales Manager

We are looking for a serious talent to head our team and fuel our future growth as Business Sales Manager.

The Business Sales Manager has the primary focus of leading our sales teams based in our Swansea HQ and across the UK, overseeing activities of our new business and in-life sales teams and delivering a business-wide growth performance.

You will be responsible for defining and communicating the business KPIs and targets to sales personnel on a regular basis, analysing patterns in consumer and market behaviour, and subsequently defining data-driven action strategies in order to consistently optimise the business’s commercial performance.

You will have full responsibility for the revenue of your team and will bring fresh ideas, planning and motivational skills to ensure they thrive, feel encouraged and achieve.

The role of Business Sales Manager is an integral part of our Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Managing Director and working with external partners, operators and our supply chain.

Objectives and Responsibilities of the Sales Manager

  • Responsibility for leading our sales personnel, developing our customer base, achieving  KPI’s and targets, examining opportunities, enabling sales improvement and taking overall responsibility for sales performance.
  • Establishing and overseeing the adoption of departmental vision and values, which forms part of our work culture. Playing a mentorship role to key positions within the sales department and conducting regular sales meetings with the team to set and check performance against targets.
  • Playing a major strategic role in the business sales team. You will be tasked with implementing sales strategies that further Uplands agenda and drives enhanced revenue generation for the business. The Business Sales Manager will deliver a unified market mix relative to our core target business customers and design the roadmap that will lead to the achievement of our business goals.
  • Analysing of sales performance, reporting sales strategy successes, weaknesses, and opportunities to senior management.
  • Managing key relationships on behalf of the business, building strong relationships with external partners and business customers. Enjoy dealing with people and be confident that you can make an excellent and professional impression.

To best tackle this role you will need to be both a leader and team player, passionate about communications, driven by selling and enthusiastic about supporting customers.

Skills and Requirements of the Business Sales Manager

The Business Sales Manager will have credible experience in the Technology and/or Communications industry, as well as being an articulate, analytical and a commercially-aware individual. You will need to be a highly-skilled problem-solver with expertise within Sales.  An experienced leader, with an excellent track record for delivering profitable sales growth.
