Family-run cheese producer, Wyke Farms, is the latest client to join the Uplands portfolio.

The Somerset-based dairy farming and cheese making business has a history that spans more than 160 years. The company produces award-winning cheddar and butter from its 1,500 acre farm in Bruton, Somerset.

Uplands will be providing Mobile Connectivity solutions for 120 users across the Wyke Farms team. As well as receiving a superior service, Wyke Farm will also benefit from greater cost control and have made a significant cost saving by moving its contract to Uplands.

Wyke Farms’ products are available nationwide in major supermarkets including Waitrose, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Lidl and Asda as well as in its own Somerset Farm Shop located on the farm. All products are also available to purchase online.

As well as ensuring the highest standards of care for its cows in accordance with the Red Tractor Assurance scheme, Wyke Farms is also focussed on sustainability. The company is known for driving environmental best practices in areas including feed management, soil and land management and energy management. There are many synergies between Wyke Farm and Uplands as we have recently been declared a carbon neutral business, having been verified by the Carbon Footprint Standard. We have made improvements in several key areas including electricity consumption, company car travel, and working with suppliers and partners who share a similar ethos. Wyke Farms is a great example of this desire to work with like-minded businesses.
