Spotlight on Business Administrator, Chris Evans, the newest member of our team!

Chris joined the team in early December. He has lots of experience in the sector and wanted to continue working in the phone trade. He has said he was impressed with “the business’s longevity and friendly team,” which is what initially drew him to the company.

Here are some things you might not know about Chris…

Q. What job did you want to do when you were aged 10?
A. I always wanted to become a Traffic Police Officer, just to drive the fast cars.

Q. What has been your proudest achievement in life?
A. My proudest achievement in life was proposing to my fiancée in a pub full of people and earning my driver’s licence in July 2016.

Q. Tell us one thing you have learned during your time at Uplands?
A. All customers are important and without our customers and our amazing team we wouldn’t be where we are today.

Q. Tell us a quirky thing about yourself that people might find surprising
A. I would say I am a daredevil and have no limits. However, I am petrified of the 8-legged friends… SPIDERS! I’m like Marv from the first Home Alone and run a thousand miles just to get away from them.

Q. Do you make five-year plans? Do you stick to them?
A. I do have a 5-year plan, but sometimes things do get in the way, but I try to stick to the plan. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail!

Q. Tell us one possession you couldn’t live without
A. I could not live without my car!
