Looking back through a year of triumphs at Uplands

As we are approaching the end of 2022, we want to reflect on this year at Uplands and all our achievements as a company over the last 12 months.

New Branch in Somerset

In 2022 we cut the ribbon and expanded our operations to our newest office in Bruton, Somerset. We were delighted to broaden our customer base and grow our business with our sister Somerset branch and moving forward into the new year we’re looking to further develop the business nationwide.

New Contract Wins

We have welcomed a number of new clients on board this year and have renewed relationships with existing clients who we continue to provide excellent service for.

  • Techtronic Industries EMEA Ltd. Which operates a multi-million-pound operation across a range of products and sites and deals with a broad customer base – both commercial and domestic
  • Wyke Farms is a Somerset-based dairy farming and cheese making business producing award-winning cheddar and butter from its 1,500 acre farm in Bruton, Somerset
  • Bridgetime Transport Ltd. is a leading logistics provider, international haulier, and forwarding agent based in Cwmbran delivering reliable domestic and international services
  • Action Homeless is a thriving charity committed to helping people affected by homelessness in Leicester and the wider Leicestershire area.

 

Achieving Carbon Neutral Status

This year we successfully achieved our zero-carbon status, declaring Uplands carbon neutral a full eight years ahead of our original target date.

As well as instilling behavioural changes across our teams and working with suppliers and partners who share a similar ethos, we also worked with Carbon Footprint, to support climate change solutions around the world. We will continue this work towards helping reverse the effects of climate change and do our bit to make a positive impact on our planet.
