At Uplands OneTelco Ltd, we are committed to running our business responsibly and sustainably. We recognise that our operations impact the environment, people, and communities, and we are determined to minimise those impacts while contributing positively wherever we can.
Environmental Responsibility
We actively monitor and manage our environmental impact. Our actions include:
- Measuring and verifying our carbon footprint through our partnership with Carbon Footprint Ltd.
- Offsetting our reported emissions each year through certified carbon reduction projects.
- Supporting low-carbon travel through flexible working and bike-to-work schemes.
- Reducing waste by encouraging digital-first and paperless processes.
We will continue to review our environmental commitments and look for new ways to reduce our footprint over time.
Labour & Human Rights
We aim to provide an inclusive, supportive, and fair workplace for all employees. Our commitments include:
- A wide range of policies that promote equality, diversity, wellbeing, and flexible working.
- Enhanced benefits such as Wellness Day, Birthday Leave, Community Engagement Hours, and Cancer Support.
- Training during inductions and regular manager-led meetings that cover topics such as ethics, wellbeing, and inclusion.
- Opportunities for personal and professional development.
Ethics & Governance
We are committed to conducting business with integrity, transparency, and accountability. This means:
- A zero-tolerance approach to bribery, corruption, and unethical practices.
- Clear reporting channels through our Whistleblowing Policy.
- Responsible use of data and technology, supported by our Data Protection and Internet/Social Media policies.
Sustainable Procurement
We expect our suppliers to share our values and commitment to responsible business. This includes:
- A Supplier Code of Conduct that sets clear expectations on ethics, labour, and environmental responsibility.
- Compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act and other relevant legislation.
