At Uplands OneTelco Ltd, we believe businesses should play an active role in supporting the communities in which they operate. Our approach combines employee-led initiatives, company-supported volunteering, and fundraising for causes that matter.
Volunteering and Engagement
- Community Engagement Hours – All employees are entitled to paid time to participate in local volunteering projects. This initiative strengthens our connection to the community while supporting employee wellbeing and team spirit.
Fundraising and Charitable Support
Our team has a long-standing commitment to fundraising and supporting charities, both locally and nationally. Activities have included:
- Regular fundraising for national health and social care charities, such as Macmillan Nurses.
- Seasonal initiatives including donations of Christmas presents through the Mr X Appeal, helping to spread joy to families in need.
- Sporting and personal challenges that raise funds for good causes. Most recently, our CEO raised £1,384 for Hope & Homes for Children.
Our Commitment
Community engagement is built into our culture. Whether through volunteering hours, fundraising, or partnerships with charities, we are committed to:
- Encouraging employees to give back to the local community.
- Supporting both local grassroots causes and international charities.
- Building on this foundation by expanding our charitable contributions year on year.
