Takemeeverywhere.com Terms and Conditions of Hire and Use

Rental Period - The Rental Period will be from one day with a minimum charge of one week up to and including the first seven days, regardless of whether the equipment is returned prior to the hire period completion date.

Payment - Payment for the full retail price is taken immediately for the hire product by credit or debit card. Once the hire product is returned a full refund, less any rental or other charges will be given.

Deposit - As the hire product is paid in full at point of hire, no additional deposit is required. Any loss, damage, or additional rental of equipment will be subtracted from the final refund amount and the balance of this amount will be returned to the customer.

Start and End of Rental Period Deposit - The Rental Period starts on the day the hireproduct is collected. End of Rental Period is the day the product is returned to the originating Uplands store. If the product is returned with missing component(s) then the customer is liable for a late return payment until the missing component(s) are returned.

Maps - All of our navigation units come installed with the latest maps direct from the manufacturer. Takemeeverywhere.com holds no responsibility for the maps accuracy. Takemeeverywhere.com always offers the latest maps available where possible to its customers.

Registrations - Some navigation units that double as speed camera detectors offer registration for additional services. Please note that if you register the unit for additional services such as speed camera detection etc you will then be required to purchase the unit and therefore will not be liable for a refund of the purchase cost.

We strongly advise that you do not register for any additional services unless you intend to keep this unit on a permanent basis and do not intend to return it under the hire agreement. This is applicable only to navigation units with this additional services facility.

Speed Camera Detection -On some of our navigation and speed detection products there is an option at point of sale to activate safety camera detection on the unit. This can only be done at point of sale and will be subject to an additional charge for the duration of your hire period.

Any such activation must be carried out at point of sale by one of our takemeeverywhere.com specialists and will only be valid for up to one month. Any extension to this period must be communicated to your Uplands pick up point to enable an additional monthly period to be added. This will also incur an additional monthly cost.

Faulty/Incomplete Equipment All hire products are checked prior to collection. The Hirer is to inspect the hire product upon receipt and bring to the attention of our personnel immediately any defect. If no such notification is given then it will be presumed that the hire product was collected in complete, good and working order and fit for its purpose as required.

Equipment Loss or Damage - The Hirer will observe and adhere to all the instructions relating to the correct use of the hire product and keep the hire product in good condition. The Hirer will be held entirely responsible for any subsequent loss or damage to the hire product resulting in failure to observe such instructions, or failure to use the hire product in a proper manner.

The Hirer will be responsible for the replacement cost of any damaged or lost components, including any instructions or manuals of the unit or any repair. Uplands accept no responsibility or liability for any damage to or failure of operation of the hire product due to any incompatibility with any other equipment used by the Hirer and the Hirer will be liable in this instance.

Hire Product Failure - In the event of any failure of the hire product the Hirer shall immediately provide the Uplands pick up point with a written notice specifying the failure. Should the equipment failure prove to be due to misuse or the fault of the Hirer in any way, we reserve the right to pass on the costs of repair charges to the Hirer.

Non Return of Equipment - The Hirer will be responsible for the safe return of the unit and all its component parts. The Hirer will be responsible for hire cost until such time as the unit and/or any missing components are returned.
